Calpis concentrate is a base for making a refreshing drink with a sweet and sour taste, with the addition of juice from aromatic japanese pears valued in Japan for their unique taste, it was created using the natural fermentation process of lactic acid bacteria and yeast, which gives it good health benefits. To create a drink, just add water!
The drink, created by Kaiun Mishima over 100 years ago, was inspired by the traditional sour milk drink of the tribes of Central Mongolia, which Mishima visited at the time. After improving the recipe and diluting the thick concentrate with water, Calpis Water, known today throughout Japan, was created.
The name of the product comes from the combination of the words calcium (calcium) and salpis (in Buddhism meaning "the best taste"), which together gives Calpis.
The unique edition with the addition of juice from aromatic japanese pears has a flavor that will appeal to both children and adults.
One bottle of the concentrated drink is enough for about 15 glasses of refreshing drink - just dilute the concentrate in the ratio of 5 parts of water to 1 part of the concentrate.
