Description

Genji Pie are famous, inspired by French palmiers, shortbread cookies, produced by the Japanese Sanritsu confectionery since 1965. They are also a 5-times winner of the main Monde Selection award, granted by the International Quality Institute, which has been testing the quality of food, alcohol and cosmetic products for 60 years. Genji Pie are carefully shaped, heart-shaped wheat flour cookies that are baked with margarine to give the dough a characteristic crispy, layered texture that melts in your mouth with every bite. In addition, each cookie is sprinkled with sugar crystals, which, partially caramelized, give the whole delicious sweetness and emphasize the crunchiness of the snack.
