Description

Ninben Tsuyu no Moto is a 3-times concentrated soup base, created from a combination of natural soy sauce and traditional Japanese dashi broth. Thanks to its classic taste and versatile use, the Ninben stock sauce is the perfect basis for a wide variety of Japanese dishes.

The soy sauce used in this product is JAS certified and was created using the traditional honjozo brewing method in which roasted wheat and steamed soybeans are combined with koji mold (a fermenting agent) and then placed in tanks with natural brine water. Dashi used in the bouillon sauce was prepared with dried bonito tuna flakes and kombu seaweed from the island of Hokkaido.

The product does not contain artificial ingredients, preservatives and dyes.

Directions for use:

To use the sauce as a soup base, dilute the product with cold or hot water. Add sugar or sweet sake and mirin to your liking.

Below are the recommended dilution factors for various Japanese dishes:

Pasta dipping sauce: 1 part tsuyu to 2 parts water
Pasta Topping Sauce: 1 part tsuyu to 5 ~ 7 parts water
Rice sauce: 1 part tsuyu to 2 ~ 3 parts water
For cooked seafood: 1 part tsuyu to 2 ~ 4 parts water
Nikujaga (Japanese Potato Stewed Meat): 1 part tsuyu to 4 ~ 5 parts water
Nabemono (Japanese hot pot): 1 part tsuyu to 8 ~ 9 parts water
Oden (Japanese hot pot): 1 part tsuyu to 12 ~ 14 parts water
