Marumiya Furikake with wakame, mentaiko and mayo, 31g
Description
Furikake is a traditional Japanese rice seasoning, which is used in the form of sprinkles to diversify and peculiarly turn an ordinary bowl of white rice into a dish full of umami flavor.
Mazekomi furikake is a slightly different form of traditional furikake, which was created not to sprinkle, but to mix spices with freshly cooked rice. The ingredients of such furikake tend to be a bit harder, but when added to the rice and spread evenly, they become more delicate, and the rice becomes even more spice-like. Mazekomi furikake is a particularly recommendable option for people who like to spice up their onigiri or inarizushi.
Mentai-Mayo from Marumiya is a spice that combines sesame seeds, wakame seaweed, as well as Japanese mayonnaise and mentaiko, i.e. cod roe marinated in chili, which has a characteristic sea, spicy flavor. It is an iconic flavor combination that you must try in the form of furikake!
Proportion: 1 heaped tablespoon of spices (7-8 g) for 1 bowl of rice (approx. 320 g of cooked rice).
